Having annexed their first national title after a gap of 13 years, I-League football champions Mohun Bagan's next aim is to rule the local league and break the dominance of bitter foes East Bengal, a record 36-time winners.

"It took us 13 years to win the national championship (and their first I-League) in 2014-15... It's a long wait but we hope the wait is no longer than five years to win the the Calcutta Football League Premier Division," coach Sanjoy Sen said on the sidelines of their first day's training session.

The defending champions will kick off their campaign against Tollygunge Agragami on August 8, while Mohun Bagan will play their opening game on the following day versus Mohammedan Sporting in the 11-team Premier Division meet.

The first Kolkata derby of the season is scheduled on September 6 that will also mark the opening match on the relaid natural grass surface of the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan.
