Indian national selectors on Thursday will pick up the 15-member Test squad for the forthcoming away series against Sri Lanka.

Major point of discussion for the Sandeep Patel-led selection committee would be selecting the spin combination.

Harbhajan Singh has justified his comeback in international cricket in the last two series against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. So, there is hardly any doubt over his inclusion in the squad. R Ashwin, who was rested for the Zimabawe tour, would be another offie in the side, who would play his maiden Test series in the Island.

But for the third spinner, they have plenty of options in Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja and Karn Sharma. Other names which are likely to be discussed are of Amit Mishra and Pragyan Ojha.

It all depends on the spin combination selectors and skipper Virat Kohli want to go with in the high-profile series.

It would also be interesting to see if selectors would go for a reserve wicketkeeper, along side the regular gloveman in Wriddhiman Saha. If yes, then Naman Ojha might be their first priority.

Inclusion of KL Rahul is almost sure as the Karnataka batsman has made a fluent 96-run knock today, while playing against Australia A in an unofficial first Test.

Three-match Test series against Sri Lanka is scheduled to start from August 12.
