Veteran actor Kamal Haasan’s espionage thriller ‘Vishwaroopam’ is still remembered for many reasons. The first part ended with a cliff-hanger and the sequel was supposed to release the following year in 2014. Despite the controversies, ‘Vishwaroopam’ received outstanding reviews from critics and fans alike. It reportedly earned more than Rs 220 crore at the worldwide box-office. Its sequel, ‘Vishwaroopam 2’, takes the story forward from where its predecessor ended and is one of the highly anticipated sequels in Indian cinema. If reports are anything to go by, the much-awaited trailer of ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ is likely to be out after the ongoing strike in the industry. According to the trade buzz, the sequel is all set to hit the screens this summer.

‘Chiyaan’ Vikram and director Hari are collaborating for the third time for ‘Saamy Square’, an upcoming sequel to the blockbuster cop thriller ‘Saamy’. The much-awaited film will see Vikram returning as the foul-mouthed police officer Aarusaamy. Interestingly, in an interview, Hari revealed that ‘Saamy Square’ is not a sequel, but is a spin-off of the first part, which will have Bobby Simha playing the prime antagonist. If reports are to believed, ‘Saamy Square’ is a revenge story taking place many years after Perumal Pichai’s (Kota Srinivasa Rao) death. Tipped to be a racy entertainer, the film stars Keerthy Suresh, John Vijay, Prabhu and Soori among others.
