Updated on : 29 September 2016

The entire Tamil film industry is now mourning the death of lyricist Annamalai who took his last breath on September 27, 2016. It was music director Vijay Antony who identified the mettle of Annamalai, and he in association with the lyricist delivered some noted chartbusters which include, En Uchi Mandaila, Chillax and Rathathin Rathame.

In a recent talk to the  Vijay Antony called him Kutty Kannadasan, and told that his spot in Tamil industry could not be replaced.

“I had a brief chat with him only last week.I am still feeling depressed. I haven’t even slept properly from the time I heard the news”, said Vijay Antony

“Only if someone has gone through a lot of difficult situations in their own life can they write such lines. I would say he was our ‘kutty’ Kannadasan. Even as a person he was very simple and disciplined. What’s hurting me the most is that he has left us at the time when industry was starting to embrace him”, added Vijay Antony.
