Avatar 2 To Be Released On 2018
Updated on : 28 November 2016

The Avatar story arc was originally meant to be a trilogy, but I overwrite, and my writers overwrote as well. But basically the first of the sequels cloned itself and became two films, so now it's four films. And the studio's very happy with it. They have an opportunity to make more money, but it's also an opportunity to spend a lot more money, too, so there's a clench factor.

2009 feels like a long time ago now, but cast your mind back and you might remember that little phenomenon called Avatar, James Cameron's CG smash hit which still holds the record for highest box-office gross ever with a comfortable margin of $600 million over the director's other smash-hit, Titanic.

Since then, Cameron has teased us with a promised two sequels, later bumping that up to three, and the again to four, which are set to film back-to-back. It's a tale of delays and woe, but it still looks like Avatar 2 is coming, eventually...

Now 20th century fox studios have announced the release date of Avatar 2. The makers have planned to release the film on 21st December 2018. Also James Cameron has decided to make more sequels and Avatar 3,4 and 5 is confirmed by the studio.

These sequels will hit the theatres in 2020, 2022 and 2023. After making path breaking films like Terminator, Titanic and many other films James Cameron was finally able to make his dream project Avatar in 2009 and is now busy in making his dream larger than ever.
