Roja Warns The Persons Sprading Rumors
Updated on : 17 August 2017

Actress-turned-politician-television host Roja has wanted her detractors not to keep spreading false and negative news about her on social media. “Those doing so might have to face legal consequences of their actions,” Roja has said.

One of the very few actresses in the film industry to have starred as heroine in more than 100 films in various languages, the actress with a ‘million-dollar smile’ is married to producer-director R.K. Selvamani who incidentally introduced her to films in the early nineties with Maestro Ilaiyaraaja’s musical hit film Chembaruthi which had ‘allrounder’ and veteran actress Banumathi in a prominent role.

False and frequent rumurs are spread about the actress – sometimes claiming that she had passed away – which has obviously infuriated her. A recent rumour provoked a flurry of phone calls to the actress-politician who assured her well-wishers that she was doing very well.

“Those who morph my photographs and spread false rumours about me on social networking sites would have to face legal action,” Roja warned in a press release.
