Updated on : 14 December 2018
Being “Gorgeous” or getting labeled as a ‘Fancy’ belle has never been her choice. She keeps pushing her bars with her diversified roles. Following a cute loveable role in Imaikka Nodigal, Raashi Khanna gets her second outing ‘Adanga Maru’ with Jayam Ravi in lead role ready for release shortly. The tall cherubic actress has lots to speak about her co-star Jayam Ravi and filmmaker Karthik Thangavel as she feels right on seventh heaven for having worked with them.
“The first and foremost thing that I had strongly desired as an actress was to break the ‘Barbie Girl’ image and settle down for a substantial one, which has happened with this film. Obviously, my role in Adanga Maru isn’t confined to blink-and-miss, but a valuable one that will travel throughout the film,” starts of Raashi Khanna, where she feels that working in this film has given her a complete satisfaction of unleashing her potentials. Getting on to speak about her co-star Jayam Ravi, she says, “A humble and dedicated person, who transformation before the camera is literally amazing. His ability to inherit the inputs of director and express them avidly is something unique and he is really a gifted actor.”
With an invigorated gesture, the elegantly ravishing beauty extends her praises upon Karthik Thangavel saying, “It usually happens that action packed thriller majorly stress either upon the men characters or it should have the female ones involved in fists or tasks. But to beautifully caricature a role for women is something unique. Karthik Thangavel has done it exquisitely perfect with my role in Adanga Maru.”
Adanga Maru comes from the production house of Mrs. Sujataa Vijaykumar’s Home Movie Makers. Laced with intense thriller and action elements, the film is scheduled for worldwide release in December. The movie has musical score by Sam CS, which has already become the cynosure of charts. Sathyan Sooryan has cranked the camera and Ruben has offered his sleek cuts of transition through his editing.
